Hello guys! Today all CR members got a landmark to the dearly awaited sim belonging to the Candy Rose-crew and of course a bit too to the CR-family! The Candy Rose Beach Resort can be found on the Candy Rose Resort 109,143,43 (PG)! Here is a little sneak peek guys of the new dancefloor! You all are invited to the grand opening tonight Friday 27th 2-5pm SLT!!!

Isn't it gorgeous already??? We've aint seen nothing yet though!

Alienbear Gupte

During the Jewelry Expo, which is ending today, I was struck by the diversity of the jewelry in the huge exposition area. A lot of known designers but also quite unknown ones covered a little space there. By coincedence I ran into Alienbear Gupte, a famous jeweldesigner, and she had made a quite attractive little shop.
Her Celestial necklaces have one of the finest little sparkles I've encountered yet.
Of course you can set it 'off' too, but it looks so great. There were boxes with almost freebies with necklaces (for little girls, but hey, I am a little girlie too! And it did fit, lol ;)) and on display was the set she gave for the auction, presented on the Jewelry Expo. All revenues were going to the American Red Cross and I was happy to see the auction did very well and all the pieces there were gorgeous.
Back to Alienbear... She was being very kind by being present in the store and answering all questions. I asked her for a small interview, which she gladly granted.
I had to compliment her on the set for the auction and the succes of it and she thanked me and said: well, tysm but it's never enough of course for charity ;))
She was really involved with the goal and she said that she made sure her jewelry would stay affordable and good, by improving as much as she can. She noted that her rolemodel in jewelry was Random Calliope, whom she dearly admired. His art was fit for a museum, she said.
Designing being her dream she even applied for a course regarding multi media graphic design in RL, just to present her jewelry in the best way possible. This will ensure that everyone learns about her affordable jewelry. With no background in design in RL at all, it is amazing how much she is trying to make good quality. Her inspiration are her customers and anyone who is willing to share their comments and thoughts on the designs.
Miss Alienbear was modest and positive, she even tipped me on other jewelry designers at the Expo, worth visiting.
She then totally surprised me with a beautiful set Oriental Tang Empress, complete with necklace, earrings, haircomb, floral ornaments.
Thank you so much, miss Alienbear, this was a gorgeous surprise!

...or video killed the radiostar...that's more what happened!
Sundaynight I had one of the most exciting experiences so far (duh! poetical freedom) in SL! Out of the blue I got a groupcall from Shorne Boyd, who was about to open his club Xanadu on Kuduran. He needed people who'd like to star in the vid that was made to show what his beach club was like. It took me 3 nanoseconds to respond: 'I want to, me toooo'. 'Cause who could possibly resist the opportunity to star in a video, yet very sexy but without the monomonous rap, gangsta-filth and too much bling-bling??? Add some dragonfire to it and it still will be very spicy! Mmmm...almost BBQ-feeling! So, I took out my sassy silver dress and tp'd over.
Arrived at the beautiful beach resort we got instructions to dance in sync and show that we had fun there. Well, np...the host made us feel at home ;))
I tp'd my friend Sappheire over, who was such a sport to come right away. She on her turn got her friend Mal over, who later became a unexpected star in the movie...Bebop, the vid-man, make short-cuts from various scenes, from the dancefloors to the beach and laid out his plans for an exciting ending. First we had to take the jetski's out and show what we got! Well I got it until I crashed with a girl and we both we're going down into the ocean full throttle...which was filmed...lol Guys, look at that water..the ripples...woww...
When we all had returned to the beach and dried ourselves with the towls, we learned that we had to dance again and that we would be attacked by dragons! Here's the part where Mal comes in: he is the shiny, metallic Red Dragon! I love it, Mal! Let the pics speek for themselves, awesome!!!The only thing I wasn't able to take a picture of was the end...all the models dead on the beach...I was afraid my pictaking animation would ruin the vid ;))
Aaah..all's well, that ends well, and some actors ended with the obligatory hug at the end (couldn't resist the pic, guys ;))

Viva Mexico!!

Today a friend of mine asked me if I had seen the ancient sites of Mexico, called Mexico-Chichèn Itza-Archeological site and New World Wonder!
When they say this about a place, well you may expect something! Ha! And darn, they were right! The whole site was beautifully made with very authentic looking buildings, excavated objects and mexican rugs... I loved it! Right at the landing zone it says you can get an audiotour...therefore you need to follow the instructions and sit on the butterflies back. I did not try it, but I went for a stroll along the island...please, do the same! It is awesome in its details!

To my astonishment I received an invitation last weekend for a wedding from a girl from my friendslist, whith whom, I'm sorry to admit it, I had only spoken once, briefly. And if that was not surprising enough: the wedding was supposed to be in half an hour!!! This is enough to make a girl go crazy, looking in her closet and noticing she has nothing to wear! It said on the invitation though: dresscode red and black. Mmmm...what kind of wedding is that? Sure, the location was a castle...
I hurried over and entered a hall which was very nicely decorated with red and white roses. Black and red was everywhere, but actually it was not tacky or strange at all.
I expected the bride to be in red or black, but she appeared in a lacey, beautiful white gown and walked through the isle to her future husband.
I watched the ceremony which was short but very sweet (everyone was still grey, but after that I could take pics ;)) If you are a bit longer in SL you'll notice that a wedding is a serious matter there! From the first meeting to proposal and the wedding, art imitates life here! Many relationships in SL have an effect on the RL, either good or bad, but you can't ignore it. The universal longing for a mate, companion, partner or lover is always there...

Italia Paradiso Fine Decor (furniture)

My good friend Tiberious Babenco and his girlfriend Carinna Roffo have recently opened a very nice store in the Ilha Brasil, called Italia Paradiso, with their handcrafted furniture Mediterrenean style. You see materials like marble, glass, teak, ceramic etc. in warm colours, to decorate your villas in a luxurious, yet very nice priced style.
Look around to see if one of the many marble fireplace sets is just what you need at home! Refine the look with comfy couches, lazy deckhairs, candles in glass, vases in various decor, lampshades or a stylish photograph of several famous sites in SL.
Look around, you are always welcome, like you expect from la familia Italiana!

Gracile shoes

Sometimes you find the nicer things in SL: scripted heels and boots! Not only with bling, but sometimes with all kinds of textures, that makes them really versatile! You buy one pair, but you get multiple with these ones!
Gracile, has next to skins and jewelry, some nice displays with lovely scripted shoes and boots. Try a demo to see how it goes with that pants you have (sometimes the boots come through the pants! Another thing: black with the boots isn't really black, but more dark grey, that is a shame, I think). The boots are deliverd with both large and small tops to adjust to your leg. Textures are mouseclick menu-driven and for the cute Stone Queen, matching earrings are also included.
Because these items are somewhat pricy, try out the demo if you like all the textures before buying!

G-Axis: Go-Kart!

Last weekend I paid also a visit to very nice place, if you want to take your guy out on a date, that he'll totally love. It's not romantic, so ideal for a first date, when you just want to have a good time! Check this place out: G-AXIS-Kart-Race-Cars-Helicopter-Boats-Racetrack.
Just rez a kart by touching the boxes along the grid, choose your fave colour kart and check the controls to drive! You can change your speed by Pg Up & Pg Dn button and direction with the arrow keys. Good luck, it's a bit tricky, but a lot of fun!
The computer of the track will state your fastest lap etc. Try it out! The man who made it all, has alongside the track also a nice collection cars and several other places for all his vehicles. Have fun!

Follow-up Givenchi weekend and a date...

Saturdaynight/Sundaymorning when I was heading to the Candy Rose Beachbar, I noticed that 'the guy I talked about' was online...
After some IM-ing I dared to introduce him to my friends, holding my breath because of what he might say, like the first time: Hey, Natasha here wants to be collared very much, she says'. I expected something like: 'Hey, I hired her for tonight ;))
LOL. But in that masculine body with a cute head with gorgeous eyes and hair beats a warm heart, so he went with me on a stroll on the beach (we came as far as 15 feet away from the bar) and we were watching the sunset together...

Yesterday it still was Sunday and a nice day to explore SL! In the (my) evening I popped in at the second day of the Givenchi weekend. On arrival Anna Adamant immediately threw a beautiful necklace in my lap and added herself as my friend! Huh??! It was the quickest friendship ever! But I didn't mind because Anna was a delightful lady, who was really blushing because she got so much attention from her devoted bystanders.
She made a kind of display in which she showed some new items. The quality was sublime! If you zoomed into the gems, you could see the marvellous work to make the stones and metal very 'real' in looks and most of it was low-prim! My necklace though is 109 prims ;) to give an idea.

Anna answered some very good questions, at least she tried, because a fan asked her if she knew about a programm which auto-linked scripts to jewelry in a blink of the eye. I forgot the name, it was Gorz or Garz or something, but Anna didn't know it either: it was all hand work. The bling couldn't be put off, but if you buy items you can IM Anna and drop it in her invent and she replaces them for non-bling. Well, the quality was so nice, I won't nag about the absence of the bling-off script.
The other designers I couldn't find later on for the contest. But I thought: well, can't have it all. You can imagine my big surprise when GiveMeABig Oh from Bodies by Oh! IM-ed me to tell me I was one of the 4 lucky winners of a Nicky Ree gift certificate value 500L !!! I just couldn't believe it! So today I was biting my nails because SL didn't work, no payment info, no shopping! And the gift certificate is supposed to be valid for 24h :(( Whoever's idea that was!
So I can reach Nicky Ree only by e-mail to ask if I get some more time.

Aahh, Sunday became Monday, I danced with my good friend Francesco at the Candy Rose and we were talking about matters of the heart. We were so drawn into the conversation that everybody had already left for the bar without us noticing! Sorry, crew! I wanted Fra's advice on a matter, that happened somewhere earlier that night, and that was still bugging me.
Then I got an IM, from you-know-who (nickname PP), and since I was in the mood again for tease and talk we 3 joined another Italian girl in space(!)
This was in Shinda, with teleport on the ground to the spacial area, did not see all of it, but it look very nice if you like planets ;))Francesco took us to Dortmund, built after the real city in Germany, and left for bed. PP and I didn't mind because there was so much to discuss: from the sweet taste of strawberry jam to politics to ethics in SL to poetry. I have to admit it: PP is an intelligent and sweet guy! (Happy now?? :P:P)
By dawn's early light we were listening to the birds as we said goodbye..our hands lingering in eachother... We must stop meeting like this ;-))

Meet the designers!

Today was a very important day when you are a SL-Fashionista, because it was the first day of the Givenchi Grand Opening Weekend in the Givenchi Garment District. It was a rare oppurtinity to meet and greet some of the most famous SL designers! Most of them have openend here another shop and this was a meeting for fans of their fashion. I got handed a glass of champaign by caLLie cLine, yessuree!, and also present were Nicky Ree, Alyssa Bijoux, GiveMeABig Oh (Bodies by Oh!), Gabrielle Gateaux (Chez Gabrielle), Cherry Cheevers (DollyRock).

Because of the lag taking pics was almost impossible, but it was a great experience. I managed to ask some questions about what programms they use to design and I looked how the fans were drewling and jumping for joy ;)
These fashion designers have earned some big credit over the time because their clothing, skins, jewelry and designs are good quality. Though the prices are high and so is their popularity, so actually, there is not much difference with RL designers! LOL

Candy Rose Beach Resort

My most favorite place to hang out when it's finally weekend is the Candy Rose Beach Resort!
It is a complete resort for everyone's taste: of course there are lots of places to hang out with your loved one ;). The main house is for formal dancing occasions on every Friday from 2-4pm and that extremely popular 80's dance on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4-6pm and Sunday afternoon I believe. The 80's disco is mainly hosted by DJ Dax en Serina and their crew and the atmosphere is wonderful: great music, live interaction and lots of singing and laughing!!
I love the Candy Rose Crew: Serina DeVinna, her partner and great DJ: Daxman Flanagan, Lordpercy Loon, his lovely partner Kina Babii, the thursday DJ: Cadenhead Faulds and his lovely wife Saffron Carter. Very special to mention is that the latter are together in RL too!! Those people make the Candy Rose very special, they are so personal and make you feel at home! Just come out on that colourful dancefloor in the sea to start your weekend with lots of fun!
We tend to drink some 'cheeky monkeys' afterwards at the beachbar to cool down ;)

Blue Fusion

One of the first places I ever visited in SL was the Blue Fusion Jazz Lounge. It has a beautiful garden with a breathtaking waterfall and, so I saw, grotto for sweethearts ;)
I chose this place to show off my shirt, 'Hummingbird' from PixelDolls, which I bought this week.
At this same place I met the guy I was talking about earlier. In only 10 min. we had a rollercoaster talk and ride, because the region had a rolling restart and put me later in Trouble. I've never been there but it was a battlezone for roleplayers. I teleported the guy and then the Trouble started...lol... we managed to get away and had a dance in the grotto.
About that guy (I have to ask his permission to use his name ;)) he had a way with words, half-joking, half-teasing, which was very amusing ;)
I have to ask him to read me Harry Potter....

Hello readers!

Though I blogged before, but not recently, I decided to start another one on one subject solely: Second Life! Since several months I'm addicted to SL and I want to share what I experience there with other people. I don't want to limit myself to fashion, as my first intention was, but everything in or about SL. Some RL (real life) issues may come up too.
But sit back, reader, and enjoy!
